The event with Ferran Adria was thrilling for a number of reasons. Obviously meeting anyone who is at the top of his field always generates excitement. Ferran was an interesting mix of a person who has to control his environment -- witness the last minute change of format -- yet still manages to seem somewhat bemused to find himself the most revered culinary figure of his generation.
